Double pole double throw switch, a switch with 6 channels. You take the hot wire that goes to the lights in the door and tie it on to pole A. Then take the other side of the wire for your door and the new lights and tie it on so when the switch is OFF the circuit is connected.

Then when you open the door the light comes on like normal.

You then take a second hot wire that you run yourself and tie it on to pole B. Then out the other side you tie your new lights to the channel that's hot when the switch is ON

    Hopefully this makes some sense.

Unless there is some new technology I am completely unaware about, it does have door switches. You just have to find them because like on my truck doors, they blend in with the door latches.
