I got a check engine light lastnight. Took it to the local autozone and they diagnosed it as excessive EGR flow. Could an aftermarket cold air intake have any affect on this problem?

What was your MOS?
Thanks for the advice gents. I'm not a great welder so I'll probably have to find someone to do that.. Any idea what that would cost? It's just the part you see in the photo.
What would be the best way of going about fixing body rust? I never had to deal with that before.
Thanks yall. I'm eventually gonna get some new wheels on it, maybe even a bullbar or grillguard. We'll see what my bank account says.
Thanks, got a great deal on it. $3400. Kbb put it at about $5600
I've been a member for a few years but wasn'taround for a while cause I sold my truck, went to bootcamp, MCT, then Pensacola for my job school where we couldnt own vehicles. Now I'm in South Carolina...
Well the truck is out near PK Lake. I was thinkin around 350-400ish.
It's the legendary 4.9 inline 6. But apparently when the crankshaft broke, it bent a bunch of rods in the motor and I don't have time for that before boot camp. I would fix it if I was going reserves...
Thank you. If only it could have lasted till August. But I appreciate your support!
Yeah the truck definitely had a good run.. If I wasn't leaving for boot camp so soon I would definitely fix it, but I'll just have to sell it for parts.
My truck died on the way back from Possum Kingdom to Grapevine, TX. The crankshaft is broken and I'm leaving for boot camp in August so it's not worth it to fix. It had a good run.. 213,490.2 miles...
What are some rules you have for yourself or other people who ride in your truck? First and most important for me is no smoking!
Haha now that I think about it, I'd kinda rather not do it.. It was my buddy's idea and I liked it at first. But my truck, my rules!
Sounds good. I was just wondering if there's a safe way to do it. Thanks for the advice yall!
I got a 1994 F150 singlecab short bed and a few of my buddies and I wanted to drop a tarp in the bed and fill it with water. I did the math and filling the bed all the way up would be about 3600 lbs....
If it's a 93, it won't have airbags. 1994 was the first year Ford put airbags in their trucks
Down on the Corner- Creedence
I really appreciate your support. I'm gonna need it.
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
Thanks man. I ship out to MCRD San Diego August 19th.
I haven't decided if I wanna make a career of it or not. I'm gonna see how I like it and then make that decision.
Haha I'm not going directly to college so I won't immediately have that problem. I decided to enlist in the US Marine Corps.
