hahaha. i have a buddy with a riced out honda. all that jdm and he still only beat my stock 4.6 by a half second
I find those ricers and the people who drive them to be annoying. They tend to think they're hot **** in those damn things. And they tend to think they can beat anyone but the truth is they can't and they cry like babies when they get beat especially if its by a girl. What the forget is that power is only part of the battle you got to know how to drive like a racing fool.

So I say kudos to you for only being half a second behind cause you know how to drive.
thats exactly how i feel as well. and if you are looking for power you have to start with displacement. there's a reason real race car drivers dont use 1.3L cars lol
For reals. Young people smh rme and smh some more.
You're right. Nobody wants a puny 1.3L engine....F1 cars use those monster 3.0L engines!
It goes without a doubt that cars made in the United States have higher displacement with lower power outputs compared to their European or Asian counterparts. My sister has a 1.8L Mitsubishi I4 putting out 450hp @ 520ftlbs torque with nothing more than a 50-trim turbo and custom tune. Try doing that to a 4.6L or 5.4L truck and you'll be lucky to break 350/400. Not only are Europeans more adept to using technology to squeeze power out of an engine (as opposed to Americans where we just like to make everything bigger), they also get much better gas mileage too. Take for example Luxury Sedans:
Europe- BMW 528i 3.5L V8 @ 495hp - 29mpg
US- Cadillac XTS 3.6L V6 @ 295hp - 26mpg
I don't know about you guys, but I think we need to borrow Europe's technology. Their most fuel efficient car is a 1.3L I3 diesel, four seats, small trunk, gets 71mpg....

well i stand corrected. i didnt know that about F1 cars. didn't mean anything negative against smaller motors, ive just grown up hearing about my dads olds 442 so im a little biased :P
71 mpg holy mosses that's freaking insane. I could definitely go for 71 mpg hell I could go visit my buddy in Arkansas if I was getting that kind of mpg
The only thing those things did great was suck gas and make noise. The 442 is a classic engine (I've driven an old 70s motorhome with a bigger 535ci Chrysler in it), but they barely made 200hp. Fortunately America is catching back up- Ford with their EcoBoost (a European design) V6 making better mileage and power than the 5.0L V8.
