So as the thread title says. Yes. I have been keeping a secret. ( only Joe knows about it because I sent him a pm about it ) Opinions on this 95 - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans the truck is a 1995 Ford F-150 Extended Cab FlareSide 4x4 with the 351 in it. Read the link at the beginning for more info on it! Going to pick it up tomorrow ( and to look at it in person too ) brought 3 quarts of 10w-30 and a new oil filter. ( old one has a cut in it ) and a hot battery.. And some brake clean. ( to act as starting fluid because my mechanic recommended it over starting fluid ) and as for the missing parts? I have it covered already. I already have both bumpers. A front clip. A front seat. And a rear fuel tank! I have a cluster with 189,000 on it ( ironically the truck is suppose to have around that many miles on it too ) and I'll just need a cowl and wiper arms. And a fuel tank switch. As for the door? I'm not sure what happened with that. ( looks redneck as heck ) but for $700? I'm not complaining. Next step after getting the truck running is license!

That'll be cool fixed up. Don't let going and getting your license slip your mind while you're working on this

Looks like I'm not the only one with a POS lol

So exactly how much money is your brother going to contribute to this project?

however much it takes. Haha. It's just going to be to get it running and driving. It's not going to be a whole rebuild like you are doing.

oh I will try to keep everyone updated. My mechanic just said that starting fluid is too harsh. And that it's easy to hydro lock a motor with it and that personally he would use brake clean. He just said it needs to go bang nothing else. Just long enough to get it to fire to see if it's making any noises

some mechanic. Do NOT use brake clean. Use starting fluid. It only takes a little bit to fire. He should not be allowed to work on vehicles

How's the core support. They loved to rot out on those trucks. As did the frame in a few spots.

yeah. I picked up a bottle of starting fluid. And I'm not sure. Honestly. The person selling it is a woman. And she doesn't know anything about it. But the core support looks clean above the bumper from what I can tell. And the frame isn't dropped between the bed and cab so it's not rotted through. I'm really hoping its in good shape.

that's not where they rusted. They rusted down below by the frame and the frame mounts. And they are not available anymore from ford Did you crawl under the truck and look at it? Or just assume it looked good. Any fluid leaks? Rust on the floorboard. Also a common spot body mounts?

Imo Adam I would walk away. That truck could have a bad motor , bad transmission and you are left with a 700 dollar yard ornament

That's not even the right oil filter on that truck...not even close
