Honestly Adam you probably did a lot more harm running it with that ****ty gas. Should have drained it and put fresh fuel in it

well it never really ran on it. Just enough to turn over and start for a split second.. The fuel filter should have cleaned any thing bigger right? It doesn't have a ton of gas in it though. The front tank needs straps. And the rear one looks great. But Friday the motor mounts and transmission mounts are getting installed Friday. After that the fuel filter is getting replaced. My mechanic said that we should get some gas to dilute the stale stuff. But I agree that the tanks should be cleaned.. And yes. I'm hoping to do a compression test soon

That little bit could have been enough to ruin it. The fuel filter doesn't get all of it. It doesn't take a big piece to clog an injector. Just like an air filter doesn't catch all of the dust and dirt that passes through it.

I wouldn't waste any time trying to dilute it, just drain both tanks, clean them and then get fresh gas. The more and more you tell me I don't think this mechanic is all he's cracked up to me

Don't try to run it anymore regardless of what he says, you need to completely drain that fuel system and clean the tanks out or you will really be hurting if you have to put new injectors or a fuel rail in it

Also wouldn't be a bad idea to put new pumps and senders in. I would not trust them at all

well he's a backyard mechanic that works on anything really. But he hasn't given me a reason to make me not take any vehicles to him. And yes. I'll try to do a compression test sometime soon and drop both tanks and clean them out. As for the pumps and senders. The pumps sounded strong when they were priming. I don't have the funds to get both new pumps at the moment. If I did I would defiantly be replacing them

Stop. Drain the tanks. Don't do anything till it's all out. Listen to dj. He's 100 right

First the motor and transmission mounts are going on. Then fuel filter. Then drop the tanks
