Thread: Tuner or programmer for 04-08 5.4l

I have read quite a bit on them I guess I'm just not very familiar with them since I seem to understand things better as I do or use them. Oh and a note back to the question I had on the cam phaser tick being a problem to having a programmer, a buddy of mine knows vehicles quite well and told me I should have them fixed before ever thinking of putting a programmer in. So I'm slightly hesitant.

After I posted. I really read and it looks like I'm being a smart @$$. By no means. That dude gives a f about someone knowing facts. I respect that above all. I hope to on day build an awesome fast something with that dude. But yes. The thought counts. Unless it's drew. Then the facts count. Lol

Lol yea but facts plus the thought is twice as nice. I'm interested in putting a tuner in but for me I was thinking of just getting a preloaded one so its more a plug n play with the added benefits for someone not skilled in running a more complex one.

The one thing I love about these sites is that everyone seems to be there to help, whether it be to their opinion on a matter or just straight facts.

I hear u. But listen. It's not rocket science. Call 5*. Why? Why u talk to them. They ask u. "What do u want to get out of your truck?" U tell them. And they make custom tunes based on what "u" want. They get u hype that's for sure. They treat u like family after the purchase that's Fer sure

That seems to be the word with them, haven't heard a bad word about them or their tunes. Just not sure if I can afford a brand new

Listen. There are a lot of good tuners out there. Just sayin. 5* just made a difference with me. They know there ish. Just like drew. There the real deal. They can deff hook u up with a product you will enjoy. And u will get quality out of your truck.
