    Oem cloth seat fuzzing up

My truck is a 2013 with 27,000 miles. I wash it every week and put a towel on the seat whenever my behind gets grubby. Anyhow, on the seat back the fabric is fuzzing up. The seat bottom has loose threads at one of the seams too. I am just wondering how durable this material is and what other people are experiencing and thinking.

Well, there have been 436 views and not one person has said anything. I was noticing my wallet kind of rubs where it is fuzzing up so maybe the issue is isolated/caused my me.

does your back pockets of your pants have metal buttons. Those little buttons destroy a lot of things. They may be the culprit.

No, I have 60,000 km and I wear carhartts almost daily and my seats are still looking new.

I just traded a 2012 for a 2013 f150 and the 2012 at 39000 had the seats starting to fuze up. I would have no problems getting in but exiting i find my rear dragging on the seat. I am now a little more concious on my exit.

I got a 2011 with 27800 on it and have had the seat cover replaced twice for discoloring and fuzzing up on the side of the bottom cover. My opinion they are just cheap the body guy at my dealer agrees with me

I think it is my wallet. The OEM seems of average quality for a truck seat. I am not sure what "cheap" is because they are $300 plus to replace. I took it to the dealer and they are trying to get it replaced. I will probably put covers on it after it is replaced.

Just because something cost's a certain amount doesn't mean it cant be cheap material or poorly made just saying not trying too upset you or nothing. I guess I should of been a little more clear. I think the material they use is cheap but they charge a huge amount for it. My other truck made it 90 thousand miles with leather seats before the vinyl side cracked out. This truck only made 20 thousand before the seat cover faded and frayed. Sorry if I upset ya.
