Have you lost a decent amount of performance? Im also wondering if im able to drive it until the repair gets done?
Shouldn't hurt you much performance wise, but the problem will be getting all the bolt holes drilled out when they break off. Wd40 the night before. And I mean drench em. That should help em out. On gonna need to do that here in about a yr or so. Idk much about dormans exhaust manifolds.
P blaster the heck out of them about a day or two before you start the job. On yeah have a torch handy too
Is that tic noise caused by manifolds?
The dreaded 5.4 tick? And I believe it's valve related.
I just replaced my passenger side manifold a couple weekends ago and I will say this, thats a job not for the faint of heart. It took me all weekend, had to extract three broken studs, one was already broken (cause of my leak) and it was broken below the surface of the head. It took a couple hours to extract and that was only half the job. I used a Dorman manifold in hopes that they got right what Ford never managed to do with these manifolds.

Thats not always the case, mine ticked. Then it got louder, and louder and louder. It was the manifold.

That's what I was told, the manifolds make that noise when they start going, my truck runs fine so if it was a valve would you notice?
