Thread: A/C Challange

Has anyone had this happen?

Truck is a 93 XL with a straight six, manual trans, standard cab (2 door).

While driving, with the A/C selector set to max, and blowing like there is no tomorrow it will just stop (sort of). By this I mean the air will stop coming out of the dash vent and start coming out of the defrost vent. I can move the selector to normal, wait a minute or so and move it back, and all is well again. Things will be fine for awhile and it will happen again. I could leave it normal but the cab is not cool enough, yet.

I have taken this problem to my mech, of course he can't get it to happen while in the shop (go figure).

Any input or advise would be great.
