I've had my V6 ecoboost for 3 days and have put 300 miles on it. I love it. I'll be filling up Sat and will post the actual mileage...

I have about 300 miles on my 2012 FX4 Ecoboost SCrew - I'm getting 13-14 mpg. And I've been babying the throttle. My 5.3L GMC (2006 NBS) just before trading it for my new Ford was getting 16mpg with 150000 miles on the odo. I sure hope this is because I'm breaking it in. Best I've had so far - on the highway straight line was 18mpg.

Where's the Eco? LOL. But I sure do love my new truck.

Have a 2011 2 wheel drive with 3.55 gears , in town I get about 12 mpg and 18 to 19 on the road. I am pulling a 32 foot 5 th wheel and I am amazed at its power. This is my 5th ford in 10 years and it is by far the best of all of them.

OK. So I don't need to fill the tank yet. When I do I'll post the stats. I did drive 225 miles and still have half a tank left. I don't know the actual size of the tank... I'll most likely end up filling up Mon or Tues.

Filled yesterday morning. Here is my math:

    407.2 miles / 22.276 gals = 18.27976 miles per gal

This was the first time I filled it personally, the dealership filled it when I picked it up from delivery so I don't know if they did what I normally do. Which is try to get every drop into the tank that I can... I also need to note that on Mon afternoon on my way home from work, I got on it a bit which I know altered my mpg's. I am just impressed I got over 400 miles with 22 gallons! I am also now extremely impressed with the power that I had when I got on it Mon! Lets just say thank God for traction control!

Does anyone know of any modifications that are out for the echo boost. If so will it void the warranty?

when I first got my eco 4x4 S/C,..the gas mileage was not good,.but now that I have over 5k miles on it ,..if I drive I get 19 to 21 mpg,..if the wife drives it gets up to 24 mpg,..

I have towed a tandem trailer with 1 and 1/2 cord of wood on it,..didnt slow the eco boost down one bit,..I have also towed my 40 hp 4x4 tractor with loader,..( guestimate 4.5 ton tractor and trailer) and it didnt slow the truck down either,.. forget economy when towing,..but the power seems unlimited

I've only had mine for a week but I can't believe the power. Passing people is a breeze. You don't even have to mash it to the floor to get the extra boost. Plus the mileage seems to be great. Mine isn't even broken in and I seem to be getting close to what the sticker said. Can't wait to see it after a couple of months.
