I am about to buy a F150, and I am confused as to the reason to buy an FX4 vs the Lariat. I was told the FX4 had better shocks and skid plates, but I can not find anything about it anywhere online. Are they essentially the same truck with skid plates added on the FX4? Any help would be great!!

The FX4 comes with the Off-Road package standard, with the Lariat it's optional and you have to pay to get it. It comes with upgraded shocks, skid plates, Hill Decent Control, and the decal on the bed box. The FX4 also has painted bumpers and a black grille while the Lariat has chrome bumpers and a "chrome" grille.

I looked at both trucks and went with the fx4 I liked the painted bumpers and blacked out grill it has the leather/suede heated cooled seats with the Red pipping in the seats sunroof and more all for $2000 more than I was lariat I love my truck
