    But you have to be careful about the scam artists and people lie too still. That's why it's helpful to get a history report of the vehicle no matter how you buy it used.

    That's true, but a simple Google search could tell you some general ideas on what to look for when buying For Sale By Owner. Mix that with some decent common sense and you'll blow through the idiots and get straight to those who are just in need of a change for whatever reason.

    Does it have all the bells and whistles? And ultimately it's your choice. It's your money and will be your truck that YOU drive. Get it if you like it and what it has, and if it has no problems or previous damage.

    Yeah, but trucks are not supposed to have high mileage when that new. Most people don't buy a truck if they drive 17,000 miles per year.
    Since this person clearly did, I'm wondering why it's being sold. There is still plenty of life in it.
