    Steering Rack

I started hearing a clunk in the front end last week, didn't matter if it was in 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive, so I took it in on Friday and the dealership said the steering rack needed to be replaced. So I left it with them and picked it up yesterday afternoon, all done and covered under my extended warranty (62000km on truck now). Drove home, truck drove like brand new (never really noticed anything wrong before though until I heard the noise). This morning I turned out of my yard onto the county road and I got a bunch of messages in the productivity screen - SERVICE ADVANCETRAC, SERVICE ABS, SERVICE HILL DESCENT CONTROL. I called the service dept and they said its probably the steering angle sensor module, apparently they go about the same time as the steering rack for some reason. So back to the service dept she goes tomorrow morning, only I'm working so the Mrs. is gonna take it in for me AND let me take her Expedition to work - God I hope I don't screw something up on it!!!!

They've had enough dealings with her in the past to know better I think LOL. Yeah I'm more worried about messing up her truck, I don't mind if she beats me a little though LOL

Well she took it in and they checked it over, turned out to be a bad ABS sensor at one of the rear wheels, AND since it was unrelated to the steering rack replacement, she had to pay ANOTHER warranty deductible. Rotten SOB's!!! LOL, still better than paying the whole shot out of pocket though I guess.

Just wait til you're all graduated and get a big money job in some fancy corner office somewhere, you won't need to worry about warranties, when something breaks you'll be able to afford to just get a new one!
