    tool boxes

    I am looking at getting a tool box for my f-150. any good brand names i should look for or are they all pretty much the same?

    Not at all the same. I have a UBI storage chest mounted inside my bed. Like it a lot because it it's top doesn't stick above the bed rails so you can even tell its there.... unlike traditional crossover boxes. The downside is... you can slide anything underneath it like you can with a crossover. But I rarely need to. Play truck only, no work.

    Another really good brand is Weatherguard. You pay more, but they are heavy gauge and really nice latches.

    I have a uws on my truck and it is extremely durable it is a thicker gauge which keeps it from bowing in the middle of the lid.

    PRO-TECH PRO-TECH PRO-TECH!!! I'm a Pro-Tech guy lol I'm looking at getting one right now actually, they're really expensive, but they last forever. Almost all the farmers, loggers, construction workers, etc etc around here have them......

    I've had them on all of my trucks and I think they are the most secure.
