    Engine over heating

    Have an 2006 f150 FX4 off road it has the 5.4L V8 triton and one night I took it to the mud hole and I mudded it a little. But right after I ow washed everything off in the engine bay. And all the radiators. And it says it's over hearing and I don't know why. Please help!!!!!

    Maybe it's your thermostat

    Did you get mud in the rad? If so make sure you take a garden hose and just soak the s*** out of it. I've played this game before. Also make sure there's nothing in the fan that has it jammed, And make sure you have coolant. Then try checking your thermostat. I've wrecked every one of these things in the mud. Allegedly.

    I done all that besides the fan and the thermostat. But where is the thermostat located at on the truck?

    The clutch connects the fan to the water pump

    Well I changed the thermo and it still didn't fix it. So I checked the fan clutch and that's what the problem is. Thanks for the help guys!!!
