No there is a tool to remove them made by lisle
Yup. And I got one. So if u get stuck. I don't think I'm to far away from u. Keep me posted
Think a mechanic friend going to swap then for me for a fair price... Thinking let him make a few bucks and zero headaches for me.
I will. I am guessing just 1 bad plug. Wish way to check it and throw 1 in right now. No way to check a plug while it in the cylinder right?
Well if it threw a code it should tell you which cylinder is misfiring. And the cylinders are (if you're facing the engine from the front of the truck) 1-4 on the left side and 5-8 on the right side. 1 and 5 are the front cylinders closest to the front of the truck.
Not a code ever. Seems to misfire above 3000 when u jump on it a bit. picked up duel dilter today going to do in am tomorrow
Nope, there's a special tool made by Lisle for all the Ford 3V engines (4.6 V8, 5.4 V8, and the 6.8 V10). If they break you use it, unless you knock the tip of the plug into the cylinder, in which case then you have to take off the intake manifold. That's not very common though.

How do you know it's misfiring then? The check engine light should be flashing if it's missing.
Breaks up bad and sounds like backfires. What else could it be?
