How do you tell if your universal joints are going bad?

From my experience they usually will clunk when putting the truck in reverse or back to drive they could also make a clank if you downshift at low speeds ive heard they might make a noise bit have never had this problem

It will squeak going into gear and as you drive it will continue to squeak and get faster. You will hear it under the truck rather then from the engine bay
