97 F150 pops out of gear.

My truck just started this yesterday. 4.2 V6 5 speed manual with 197000 miles. Seems to only do it at faster speeds on the interstate. It will stay in 5th if you put it back in. Anyone else had this problem? Anyone know of this is a small fix or a major problem?

Thanks for any and all help.
I am new to this site.

is it hard to shift? have you ever replaced the slave cylinder or clutch? take a look under the hood and check the clutch oil reservoir and see how fresh it looks.

Shifts normal, yes replaced clutch couple years ago. Fluid was low. Filled it up, but no change.

Sounds like the syncromesh is worn out. Change to 80w90 and throw in a tube of hypoid. Might make a difference.
