I had a Flowmaster on my old Dodge van. Definitely not what I'm wanting. Lol. Nice system but not for me these days.

Especially since I roll up to some pretty posh weddings in the SUV.

I'm going to try to weld the muffler first and see how that goes but beyond that, I'm really leaning hard towards the Magnaflow.

I feel like if I got that cheaper crush bent exhaust pipe I'd always be wondering "what if" - and I hate that. Hell, even the Escort's pipe was an upgrade from crushed to pressure bent.

If I got this 3" exhaust and put a cold air intake on the vehicle, would I see performance gains? Without getting headers and/or high flow catalytic converters?

Yes. With a tuber you would for sure. Most of the gain coming from the intake and tuner. Even the most expensive cat backs only produce 5hp or so. That's why I just cut out the resonator and muffler and installed an SLP resonator. Cheaper, louder, same HP gains.
