Is it worth running synthetic ATF in a 1998 with the 4R100 transmission?
What are the benefits? Can the change interval be extended the way synthetic oils in the crankcase can?

Hm. Now I have to decide whether it's worth the premium cost. I can use tradional old Mercon cheap. Mercon V is more expensive, and synthetic even moreso.

Looks to me like Valvoline Maxlife is the best compromise for the transmission and transfer case.
