    Is this a good set up for my daughters drag car

    Ok.my 16yr old girl is building a 81 mustang notch back.its all drag.10pt cage 8.8 rear end with 4.56 gears. C4 with a transbrake. Now the motor is a 347 eagle forged crank eagle I Been rods srp forged 10.1 piston. The cam she wants is a comp cams part # 248HR-14XFI the heads she picked are Edelbrock victor jrs and the intake is a Victor Jr. With a holly 750 carb its been way to long for me I have know idea if this is a good setup or not.she will be spraying 150-250 to it.let me know what you think.

    will she be driving it? i'd sure as hell be scared to put any 16 year old in something like that

    Well ya its her car.she is paying for every thing her self.she isn't new to racing. She has done 4wheeler and go kart and dirt bikes.she started building this thing when she was 13.works summers at a auto shop to pay for it.

    What im trying to find out is what kinda numbers is the motor goin to give see wants to hit the 550+hp mark with out the spray.

    I know this is a truck sight but its still a ford .nobody's got a desktop dyno or experience building this kind of motor or can give any kind of suggestions the best way to go on it.

    Wow god bless that little girl. That is awesome man. But do me a fav get rid of that 8.8. Ain't gonna hold up to good. She needs a 9 inch fer sure. Daddy's little girl don't need to b breaking axles at 60 foot ya know? Get on that lol. Wish all u gear heads lived closer. Love to help. I'm a double dipper too. I got one loud and proud bad ass gt500. Goin for the fast 2nd gen in the world. And I'm almost there.

    And yes, like Joe said, lose the 8.8 rear, I'm not an expert on anything racing but that's the same size rear I have with 3.55 gears on my truck. You'll need a bigger rear end for sure.

    Thanks guys.we will look into the 9" my big concern is the motor build. The heads cam and intake are a lot of money! And im afraid that it wont give her what she wants .the 347 stroker is built solid so I want to make sure the rest of the motor complement it the right way.
