    351W Stroker Motor swap

I have a stock 2002 Sport XL, but I wanted to get a little more out of it. So, I've decided on trying to squeeze a 351W stroked to 408 c.i.between the frame rails paired up with a Tremec TR-6060 six-speed stick and Lightning rear-end with 4.10 gears. My only hiccup I've thought of is how to fit the 351 and try to keep an identical weight balance. Any other tips/tricks are greatly appreciated. (I do have access to a welder and lifts)

What kind of power will that make? Why not get an aluminum modular 5.4L with forced induction. It would be a lot easier to do. These trucks are computer controlled and as such your PATS and cluster will go nuts.

I'm looking at the Streetfighter stroker kit from Coast High Performance. They say that the parts are rated for up to 600 HP, but I'm only expecting 400-450 and I'm going to attempt to tame it with 4.10s and a six speed. I've really been wanting to do this for a while. Would it be possible to just remove the sensors if they would be in the way?

If need be, I'll go with full mechanical gauges, so I could use an earlier style wiring harness

With a Whipple, maybe. Stock 112s are good for 400-425 max IIRC

Emerson, a lot of stuff is electrical. VSS, trans, etc. I know a guy that did a simple V10 swap and nothing on his truck works now. He has since retired it to a weekend playtoy since it no longer is road conditioned.

I was referring to the 5.4L. The link below has some guys talking about it. I don't dabble with V8s too much so I'm just the messenger.
