Stereo Wiring Problem
Last night I attempted to replace my stock double din 6 CD changer in my 2004 F150 for an aftermarket single din pioneer DEH 2400ub deck. I have the mounting adapter and that fit relatively easy. my issue is with the wiring. as far as I can tell the speakers are all wired correctly from ford harness to pioneer harness. the problem is that the deck wont power on. the ford harness has a remaining 8 wires, two are a heavier gauge which i assume are for power (+,-). my question is: which wire from the ford harness do i need to connect to the pioneer deck harness to turn on the deck when the key is turned? any help is greatly appreciated. ive spent over two hours on google and reading forums without much of an explanation regarding my issue.
thank you,
baldyman

Everyone I have ever done. The remote was an orange wire or a darker yellow. Hey can't hurt. Give it a try
