Yup. 20/10 in the left eye, 20/250 in the right. I remeber when the doc first found it, he came in and sat down and told me: "well you will never be a pilot or a firefighter"

I'm still a firefighter and I'll have my plane flying by the end of the year

I'm legally blind without any correction (contacts/glasses) and I've had my contacts save my sight a few times now. I've learned the safety glasses lesson a few too many times now I rarely do anything that may spray or have debris without eye protection.

Same here, just not as bad. 20/20 in the left, 20/40ish in the right. Ruined my hopes of being a pilot in the Airforce, ironically I always to fly the F-22 Raptor lol.

I drove an aluminum nail into my filter to bleed the pressure, worked great. Oh yeah, wear safety glasses.

Even if you did manage to spark it, the mixture would be too rich to catch. All that fuel dumping on it would just smother the spark.
