Thread: headers? does anyone have em and what did you gain

im thinkin about gettin some pace setter shortys for my 4.6 i was just wonderin if i would gain enough to notice or just some measly quarter pony is it worth the time and money

I have em on my 5.4. Nothin that will break the Dyno but when u put ur foot down and she is whinning out. You'll know u got em that's fer sure cuz.

Hard to say. I put em on with the motor out. I did alot of upgrading. Lol. But yes I'm sure it's tedious and you'll have to move a few things out of the way. But u can do it bud

Just be very carful and gentle with ur Manifold bolts

Yea did it out of necessity... Manifolds blew out. I hear its a common problem. Gas mileage will suffer a bit as it will run cooler. A little better sound. 4 cats, split dials, no mufflers..... Manual shift!!!

You probably know by now, but they are not bad. With a little patience, they can be done in half a day. Plan ahead though. I had to cut one of the manifolds off with a 4" cut off wheel.
