    Tuner settings

Me again. Just to ask yalls opinion again. I have the edge tuner for my 4.6l triton. I have a custom setting right now, and the truck is an absolute beast at full throttle. Although, at slower speeds my truck kicks in and out of gear. Between like third and fourth, but doesn't do it for very long. If you guys have a setting that you think would be great to use on my truck please let me know. Thanks for all the help guys.

Did you switch any of the transmission or shift setting when you made that custom tune? Or if you didn't what settings did you change?

I changed all the shift points and shift firmness. My WOT fuel is set to I think 1.5. All shift firmness should be at 10 and from 1 through 3 it shifts at 5150. 4th is set to 5000. I have 3.73 gears and 33 inch tires. Let me know what you come up with.

You need to adjust your shift points. Your stock rev limiter keeps it under 5000rpm. Keep that as your max. The problem with adjusting the shift points is it causes the problem you experience. With your new shift points the transmission tries to decide whether you need to downshift or upshot depending on throttle, so if you barely make a pressure difference on the pedal it can cause a downshift. That's the problem with programmers like Edge when you make your own tune versus a professional doing it or running the regular tunes from Edge. They can account for this and fix it.
