I got a check engine light lastnight. Took it to the local autozone and they diagnosed it as excessive EGR flow. Could an aftermarket cold air intake have any affect on this problem?

The exhaust gas recirculation valve does just what it says it does. It recirculates the unburned fuel. Once it goes bad. It's bad. U can clean it. There are videos available on YouTube. Now. To answer your question. Does a cai or can a cai reflect on this. No. See. The cai is gonna give u better air control to burn and fire the spark to combust the piston. The egr valve. Grabs all (well most of) the unburned fuel and places it back into the throttle body to try and use it again. To b better affective for your emissions.
Your best bet is to grab another egr valve ( u can get em at any parts store. Or you can go online and grab a Genuine Ford part. Either one will do the job. Then scan it again to clear the egr prob.
Good?
5Star tuned.....
To add to the Info.. The system is monitored by the DPFE sensor which is known to go bad.. U should test this sensor first
