    Iridium or Platnum?

    What would be better for my 1998 Ford 150 4.6L (190K)? Any suggestions?

    For the 4.6 I would use motorcraft plugs. As the 5.4 and 4.6 don't like aftermarket plugs for some reason.. For the 4.6 you want the Motorcraft Platinum I believe..

    Motorcraft Platinum or Nickel work. That's what your truck will run best on and they last. The Triton engines were very picky with plugs.

    I'd really like to know what the difference is between Motorcraft and any other decent brand that makes the OEM so special.
