Thread: 5.4 2 valve gets 630,000 miles and not rebuilt..

Heard of a 2001 Ford F-150 5.4 2 valve having 630,000 miles without any problems.. The guy said his company retired it and it ran great.. So does that mean my truck is just getting broken in? a 7.3 powerstroke will last 650,000 ( or so I've heard ) I also read another one about a 7.3 that was a tow truck had 950,000+ miles then it got totaled..

Anything is possible but its doubtful on the gasser.. 900k on a diesel... Yes. I work on Freightliner's for a living and we have plenty of them on the road with over a million miles.
