just bought a 92 f150 flareside to restore with the 351w. 5.8 and i love it!!
I have an '84 with the 351w in it. Workin on the rebuild right now. I put a melling hv oil pump in it and noticed that the pan doesn't sit flat because of the pump. Anyone have any time efficient suggestions for modifying the pan?
Something's not right with the install of the oil pump. The high volume won't be different in size the internals are different.

are you kidding me??? obviously you arent understanding the fact of something aint right.. theres no reason a correct oil pump would require a modification to the oil pan...
and you do realize that now you'll need a 2nd drain plug for that "addon" to the pan..
