You can do anything to a 300 that you can do to any other engine.

From what I understand, a small 4BBl carb, torque oriented cam, and EFI split manifolds are supposed to net the best results for a carb truck.

They made a better manifold for the 300s in very heavy vehicles, but they are supposed to be very hard to find.

Understand that the 300 is a low rpm motor and mod accordingly. Changing an engines nature can be very difficult and usually is very expensive
