I was wondering what would be the quickest/easiest/cheapest way to get more horsepower on my 1984 300 i6

V8 swap, you'll only get so far with an inline
Your 300 is a tourqe monster. V8 swap. Drop a 302 in it
U could prob get a long block for under a 1000
What do you want HP for? Torque is what moves you. And if you want to go fast, you'll need better brakes, suspension, etc. Easier to buy a V8 Mustang

Lol I just want to go faster than 5 mph in first gear haha
Thats all down to gearing and transmission. If you've got the M5OD-R2 like I have, enjoy it. 1st gear is a paltry 3.91, which gives you plenty of grunt to get things moving. Remember Newton's 1st Law: "Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it."
