Actually, I heard a lot of popping after installing an afe cold air intake on my ecoboost. Reading up, it seems its called turbo bark which apparently means the release of the extra unused air created by the turbos. I'm guessing with the higher volume cold air intake, the turbos produce more air than can be received or used by the engine. This is where I'm still playing around with different combinations of tunes and exhaust as well. Hopefully, I'll have enough time this weekend to install an afe cat back exhaust. Loving the extra power.

When it tells you to. The newer motors have an IOLM (intelligent oil life monitor) that bases your change intervals on how you drive I.E. more highway miles = probably 10,000 mi interval whereas more stop and go city driving will be from 5000 - 8000 mi

    Airaid intake

Installed my intake Monday evening, took about 30 minutes. Most of that was looking for the correct size torx driver. You'll need 3 different sizes.
It does produce a more noticeable sound from the turbos and the intake pulling in air. Sounds good when you get into it and release the pedal right away. Does appear it's more peppy now also. Can't verify gas mileage yet, as I'm having too much fun listening to the noise. LOL.
