I had worked and pleasure driven the 2014 FX-4 3.5L with 3.55 for almost 2 year and a half. the truck pulled hard and when my enclosed trailer attached (7X14 v-nose loaded around 2500LBS and total 4000lbs) i almost never noticed if i were hauling or not. the engine that i opted for the 5.0 with 3.73 ratio was because it was the only one available at the dealer and the sales rep told me you wouldnt notice anything if your not hauling 10 000LBS. the first day i attached my trailer trailer to it the truck i instanly felt the lack of torque! HUGE difference! like just from 50km-h to 100km-h is just terrible on full throttle. if feels like im hauling 15 000LBS my real Question is is there any way i could have same specs or better as the 3.5 ecoboost? i really want 420lbs @ 2500rpm or better! if not i really have to sell the truck its crazy weak engine PS: im hauling 4000-4500lbs 80% of the time that im using the truck so its really a big deal for me thanks for your help and advice! im just to tune turbo german cars not american v8's lol
turbocharge? Haha. That would give you a oomph. But a tune would give you more power

Those are flywheel numbers on a 4x2 with stock wheels. Your numbers would be less

no, but as i said i just installed the mt tires last week. i compared oem 20 inch rims on the 2014 with 20 inch oem rims on the 2016. the difference is the 2014 was 3.55 ratio versus 3.73 on the 5.0 does that make a big difference with oem tires?

You can pick up 33lbs of torque in the lower rpm range with one of the kits offered by 5 star. Your truck now puts down less than 300lbs of rwtq due to the tire and wheel combo

No. But the eb still has more torque. I looked up 2014 eb with 3.55 vs 2014 5.0 with 3.73 they are rated the same for towing capacity.

No turbo kit available. There are other options available for less than a supercharger. I'm a supercharger and turbo guy myself. 2 mbz supercharged cars, 1 ford supercharged truck and another 911 tt in the mix.
