When that didn't work, I went back to the last place I had done work prior...the pinion seal. I dropped the drive shaft and torqued down the pinion nut a little more, and amazingly, the squeak was gone to never return. I still have to tear down the rear diff again to install a Detroit locker true trac, so I'll be pulling the whole thing again soon and resetting backlash, replacing bearings, etc, but I was never so thankful to get rid of the squeak. 2005 Ford F150 Lariat SCREW 4x4 5.4L
