3rd Brake Light

2007 F-150 XL, 4.2 V6

Hello all.
I need a new 3rd brake light. I want to order it from EBAY. Anyone here buy one from EBAY? Did you have to apply any sealant, gasket material, double side sticky tape, etc.? I want one that is plug and play. And, I don't want a DORMAN brand.

What happened to the old one? Cracked? You might want to check the dealer first. Or why not find a cherry one on ebay, or the wreckers? That's what I do at least. Sometimes the dealer price is only slightly more than aftermarket. Use a major shop/ business like a limo/cab company for a 30 percent discount.

I just ordered one from Ebay, smoked lens and LEDs. Remove 2 screws, make 3 connections, replace screws, good to go. Honestly took under 5 minutes.

I've replaced bulbs in mine 2 times. The only thing I noticed is the screws aren't #2 Phillips, but it will work. I think the screws are what they cause pozi drive. But its easy peazy to change.
