Theft light blinks briefly while driving.

New to the forum here. And did some digging but couldn’t find much.

While driving my 2002 F150 last night the theft light would blink ever so slightly when the truck was under a load. Giving it more gas, going up a hill etc. When the light would flash the engine would also miss or hesitate.

Truck has the 4.2L V6 with 57,000 miles.

For the respected I’ve done it could have been the PCM Relay. I switch it out and the problem remains.

I’m thinking maybe plugs and there is no coil packs.

I’ve also read the computer with a code reader and nothing comes up.


Do the experts here have any other ideas.
