Leave him alone. When the time is right for him, he will do what he needs to do to get his D/L.

If he never said he was gonna get it ........ he wouldn't catch so much crap . It's not like he said he's not ready or wasn't gonna get it . There's always some lame excuse !

I do think there is something we don't know in terms of why Adam has not got his license yet.

You know he wants his d/l. There is something personal that we don't know preventing him from getting it.

On the bright side, this thread will help him out in the future more than he knows if he wants to get into the automotive industry.

Yep. I give the kid credit though as far as learning and getting some stuff done on that heap, as bad of a decision it was to get it in the first place though . It's gonna be an expensive education though ,..... with a rotted out , rusty, junker upon graduation . But hey , live and learn I guess .

If I'm honest it's more of being afraid to fail it again. And time is an issue too. And @joe. Yeah I know he did. I even told him to check that post but evidently he ignored me. And yeah it's a pile. But it's also a decent work truck. The seat was $350 and it came with a back seat too. ( the guy wouldn't split them up ) so total I have in the ball park of $4,000 into the truck... and it's worth about that much.. I've had a few people want to buy it but I want to keep it. Everyone loves it and it's actually not too bad rust wise. The frame is just scaled.. no real rust.. the body just needs cab corners but the rockers are rust free. If I were to fix it completely it would need a few patch panels on the bed sides and new fenders and a new core support. I already have the guts from a power window door. ( door panel, mirror, window regulators, locks, most of the switches, and the wiring.. and even a speaker. ) so it just needs wired, and the door needs the guts put in it and painted. ( my mechanic did body work for awhile.. actually right now he's fixing rust on a truck and 2 truck beds.. including paint. ) so after that door is painted and all assembled I just need to paint the door panel and get a mirror switch.. and bezel for all of the buttons. And the truck will look good.. minus the rust and the back end leaning..

If you have someone who will give you $4000 for your truck, you would be a fool not to take the money and run.
