Well.. the FlareSide got tested to its limits.. ( some crazy dude in a 04ish jeep was chasing me and my brother for no reason ) they were all over the road then randomly stopped and my brother passed them. They turned their high beams on and started chasing us. Going 60 up a huge hill and 80 down a strait. about a foot away from the back bumper. I told my brother to go off into a field.. he did. They stopped and then took off.. next truck is having some nuts.. because that was crazy.. I saw where they turned but I couldn't get a plate.. just a make, model and color.

They could only go 60 up the hill and 80 down the hill if you were going that speed ? Why not just do the limit and call the police on your cell and tell them what's going on ? Why pull off into a field where no one ( police) couldn't find you. How can you be chased if your not running ? If they're hanging a foot away from your bumper at 60 and 80 they'd be hanging there at 20 to 40 also with less chance of catastrophe happening in case they made contact at those speeds . Your story doesn't make a whole lot of sense .

No.. I did call my mom and she said not to. They probably won't have been able to do anything since I didn't get a plate number. That was after all of that happened. Not during..

so I replaced the harness. ( with one from Tasca ) unhooked the battery and everything. It shifted BEAUTIFULLY. but the speedometer still jumps around... did what I've found to cause it to go into safe mode. ( driving it a lot. ) and it wasn't the fix... shifting like sh** again.. so next is the cluster... also opened up the back brakes. ( they were rusty.. ) and the springs and pads are new so I Cleaned and adjusted them. ( yes I did have them double checked for the adjustment )

Adam your splices look pretty good. But it looks like you are using crimpers that smash the connector flat on both sides. You may want to look into a better set of crimpers, I would recommend a set of these:

Thank you. And yeah.. I probably should have used something like that. I just used pliers.. ( I pulled on them a little and they didn't come apart at all. ) ( all of the stuff I used came with the harness. ) then I covered them in heat shrink and they have a casing over them.. and wrapped it all up in black duck tape.. so it will probably be kinda difficult to get all of it back apart the tape was because I had to cut the casing off ( a plastic casing that goes over the wires.. idk what it would be called ) and to keep water out.. the speedometer jumping can cause it to do what I'm having the problem with. Because it isn't reading off the differential correctly. ( i found out it's a common problem. And that the gauge cluster needs re built.. ) and if that doesn't fix it. Then the rear differential is trash. So I'm going to borrow a friend's gauge cluster out of his 95 F150 and see if it jumps around.
