    Towing Harness Bracket

    Apparently, there is a stock bracket that is not available through the dealer. It is the bracket that goes to the wiring for the towing (4 pin / 7 pin plugs). It bolts to the underside of the bumper (04-08)? Anybody know what I mean? I need one.

    I know what youre talking about but Im not sure where to get one. I cant believe the dealer wouldnt have one, thats weird

    Thats what I thought too. They say its not available seperatel. Maybe its a ploy to make me buy a whole new harness?

    You know now that I think of it, I believe that bracket comes as an assembly on the hitch/ bumper so that would explain why you can't get it by its self. Have you tried any local trailer shops by you to see if they had an aftermarket bracket that would work?

    I went to U-Haul, and they have brackets. But the one I am needing they do not have. The ones they have will not look right. I am kinda anal I guess. Oh well, I will figure it out.

    On my 04 the bracket is welded on, I believe my Dad's 08 is the same. That would explain why you can't get it from FORD. Although mine has it, it's bent from the last owner apparently backing into something, so I have to get it bent back and replace the end on the 7 pin.....which has the cover broken off of....good luck on finding one man.......
