    Good day

Hello guys and girls. I currently own a 2011 F150 and it's being sold tomorrow. Took a look at all other brands but I keep going back to Ford. Now the million dollar question is 3.5 Eco or coyote? Have a 5.0 in my current which has been great. But took a newer Eco for a rip yesterday and wow is all I have to say. Is the go to still the 5L?

Their both fast, but personally I like the 5.0 liter best. A twin turbo needs a catch can, no biggie for carbon coking that can happen with turbos. It's your call, but the 2018-19 5.0 coyotes put out 390 hp, no slouch, and probably more dependable in the long haul. Just my 2 cents!

What do you mean "catch can"? I'm not rich nor do I like payments so looking at 2016's right now. There's a 16 sport model of each at a dealer now. So just weighting the options. Both around 60000kms and will add a 2 year Ford warranty. I feel the 5.0L will be more reliable but my salesman says the issues he hears of are about even.

Theirs many videos and pics about adding the catch can for the 3.5 twin turbo. Basically it's like a filter that traps carbon and junk produced by the turbos. It's no big deal to install, and helps with longer life on the motor. I've always been a non turbo kinda guy myself. I'm looking into probably a 2018-19 f150 with the 5.0 liter motor. I'm over on the Expedition site mostly, and our members there overall have good luck with the 3.5 motors. Like the Dealer said, their can and will be issues with any used truck. As always I advise paying an outside shop to do a full inspection before buying. Any honest dealer or lot will approve, the ones hiding stuff won't. It's $100.00 to $200.00 well spent.
