I joined yesterday and proceeded to do a post (a rather lengthy one). I thought I did everything right. But I do not see it anywhere. Very disappointed in this site/group.

Why not just explain what you did and ask what may have gone wrong ? Since........
You .... “THOUGHT” ..... is a far cry from you .....KNOW .... you did everything right ! So your not sure and YOUR disappointed in the site ??!!??!!? Maybe the disappointment should be in yourself ?
A bad day of hunting or fishing is better than a good day at work !
blaming "noob" on first post is a classic sign of someone who is a legend in his own mind, rather than asking what the specifics are. Perhaps you need a little lesson in customer service/relations.

I was talking about my recent purchase of a 2014 F150 FX4 loaded package that I really like but due to past history with Chevy trucks that seem to show substantial rust after about 5-6 yrs, I was wondering if Fords have a better history. This truck stickered at almost $60K and has more options than my cadillacs. I am thinking of trading it when it is 6 yrs old to avoid body issues. I'm probably asking a question that cannot be simply answered. I'm almost 70 yrs old and don't do the washing and waxing like I used to. This vehicle came out of Canada where it spent the first 3 yrs and was undercoated. It is near flawless and I would love to keep it 10 yrs if possible but my 7 year old Chevy S10 ( that I ordered from the factory) had holes big enough to put your fist thru.
As to my original post that got lost, I have no idea what happened. I thought I went thru all the steps and hit post but it disappeared. Doesn't really matter at this point.
If you were worried about rust, why didn't you buy a 2015 F150 with it's extensive use of aluminum in the body?
Black Chrome is bagged, blown and a pleasure to own.
What a brutal group you Ford people are. I'm just asking for some simple advice and you jump all over me. I guess I chose the wrong group. Sorry to bother you.
