Thread: door ajar

hi there just joined up and lookin for an answer ! I have a 2013 f-150 and i started gettin a door ajar message but the door is closed any suggesions

Hey bro!!! Welcome to the forum. I've had the same problem. It was my driver rear. Ford told me it was a tsb. Technical service bulletin. They fixed both times that it happined. They did not charge me. Something in the switch that tells your system that the door is closed. Takes a poop. They fixed it the second time and it's been gone for a little better than a year

hey thats nice but i live on an island in southeast alaska no dealers for a long ferry ride and than some was hoping to find a fix at home idea?

Well alrighty then. I most certainly did not put that into the equation. I would I would troll the Internet for the best price on a fomoco door switch. Tasca parts.com is a good place to start. However. I did throw some pb blast in that sun of gun and it indicated it was closed. Till I took it to the dealer and they replaced the door switch. I can look up the part # if u like.
