Thread: Lights, Lights, and More Lights

Two weeks have passed since I picked up my new 14 FX4 and I am noticing a few things that I would like to change out or upgrade.
One of those things is the interior lighting. A friend of mine recommended switching out all the stock bulbs from the dome, map and vanity to led lighting. He also referred me to a web site called LED Lights, Bulbs & LED Lighting Accessories - SUPER BRIGHT LEDS | Super Bright LEDs and upon heading over there found the options a little overwhelming. For example, it appears there are about six different led replacements for the stock dome bulbs.
The prices seem fair, at about five to six dollars per bulb, so that's not an issue. I just want to make sure that I get the right ones.
I also went over to F150leds.com and saw a wicked ambient light system, but it appears to only come in white, and I would prefer red as it does not interfere with a persons night vision. There may be another distributer that offers a kit in this color, but I have not found it yet.
Also, I noticed that some trucks come with puddle lamps under the side mirrors but mine did not. It looks like I have the sockets for them, they just aren't installed. Is there a place that I can buy a set of these too and just wire them up myself?

You'll have to have the truck flashed to have the color changing options tho.
Puddle lamps are a lil more involved unless you want to just buy new mirrors with them already in. Then it's just plug and play. You could probably sell the stock mirrors after to recoup some of the expense of them.
