I couldnt find any info on quarterhorse tuning on the forum so figured I would post it

For those that do not know, the quarterhorse from moates.net is a realtime emulator that connects to the j3 port on the backside of the ecu, it allows realtime tuning and datalogging of the ecu, you can even update changes to the tune while driving, its far superior than the SCT handhelds and other programmers like jet, diablo, etc...

here is a detailed write up that describes exacly how to get started

Getting Started / EFIDynoTuning

and heres a free custom base tune to get you going, simply follow the instructions and fire it up

FBFG2 / EFIDynoTuning

Did I mention the custom tuning software is free? Theres also a ton of detailed write ups that tell you exactly how the ecu functions and how to properly calibrate the ecu

www.EFIDynoTuning.com - FREE Custom Tuning Software

And lastly, if you get in over your head or would just rather have a pro tune it for you theres always the remote tune option
Online/Remote Tune - EFIDynoTuning

This is makes it very simple for those that do major mods or engine swaps to get it up and running in no time

However, at the time of writing this the free custom tuning support is only offered for those with manual and 4r70w transmissions

If you have a 4r100 trans youd have to do the remote tune option, the 4r100 stuff is in the works but not released yet publically
