    Unhappy No start No crank

After getting home last night after driving in a winter storm in 4 wheel high
(a buddy was driving), he parked the vehicle and shut it off. Knowing he did
not disengage 4x4 and I needed to move it I tried restarting but no crank.
First two tries I got short clicks and nothing since. Have full voltage at battery.
    1. Verified it was not an ignition switch issue.
    2. Verified it was not a theft/security module issue.
    3. Tapped on the starter.
    4. Jumped the solenoid but no crank but did engage with a click.
    5. Tried starting in neutral.
    6. Verified it was not the starter relay.

I'm out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated seeing how this is my
only means of transportation and my work vehicle, in the winter and a
divorced father of two teenage boys I cannot afford a mechanic at this time.
    PLEASE HELP

I'd try a jump start on battery, if no go, try using a remote starter at firewall solenoid. A screwdriver jumped across leads will also work. If none of those work, pull starter, sounds like it may be bad. It can be tested before replacing. Mine went out on my 2000 Expedition, started slow, then 2 days later, nada. Popped in reman Ford starter, all is good for 2 years now.
