Fords are a whole new animal to me. I Normally work on Jeeps and dodges, but this truck is a curve ball. I have a new to me 95 F150 with a 302/auto trans. Flare side, 2 wd and dual tanks. I paid 350 for it so that’s a good idea of the condition. Currently the only tank that was in the truck (rear) is out of it because the sending unit leaked. When I drove it home I wanted to see what the truck would do, it will rev to 3000 rpm and shift. It doesn’t shift hard, but feels good. This was done at WOT. There’s a cel on bur I forgot the codes, but I think they are for TPS and the other for coolant sensor, but I’ll read codes again when I’m home tonight.
Also, gas gauge reads full, even when it’s out of gas( found that out loading it up on a trailer. It ran out and died, so I had to pull it up with a come along) I’ve checked the sending unit with a light bulb when I had it out and it does work. I’m hoping it’s a wiring issue in the truck and not a gauge cluster or sending unit.
