Not Sure Where to Post This

so I'm choosing here. If it belongs somewhere else let me know please.

I have a '96 F150 with a 5.0 engine. The other night I left my truck running while I was talking to a friend and when I opened the door to get in a huge wave of heat punched me in the face. I looked at my temp gauge and I saw she was running hot. I turned my AC off and my truck and let her cool. Checked my radiator and saw there was no water in it. I filled it up and went on my merry way.

Well as luck would have it my truck no longer blows the ice cold AC this native Floridian is in love with. All she blows is hot hot HOT air from the vents so I chose to keep the AC off.

I checked the freon and the levels are fine and my compressor is running fine.

My question is, do any of y'all know what could have happened or how to fix it?

    Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Well. U nailed it. U out it your own thread. Good job! I had a similar problem long ago in my 85' F-350. The problems were that the refrigerant line were corroded and started to decay. That is where my problem lied. May b a good idea to check everything to see if u have any leaks. Good luck. Post up some pics of your ride. And keep us posted on how u make out

    5Star tuned.....
