Can anyone answer me what are STX mirrors. My 2012 Super crew fx4 has the factory power folding mirrors but I want to add a clip on mirror for towing. The sites I have been looking at seem to have what I want but they say will not fit the STX style mirror.

I think the STX mirrors are like the base model for mirrors. I'm not 100% sure on that though

Thank you for the info, I also checked with the dealer and he confirmed I do not have the STX mirrors.

It took a while to get the correct answer to this question, the STX mirrors are the trailer tow mirrors, those really large oversize mirrors that move in and out 4 inches on either side.
