    04-08 Window Regulator

Well, my luck ran out. I am now a victim of the crappy quality of the window regulators. Last night there was a loud thump and it was dark out so my immediate thought was WTF! I thought maybe something hit my truck. I glanced over m right shoulder a minute later and there was my RR window creaping downward. I knew at that point exactly what happened. I was luckily able to get one today from the local auto parts store (and not a dealer). $140 with a lifetime warranty. Took a total of 30-45 minutes from start to finish to fix it. I am sure the other three are soon to follow. I have 105k miles on it and it seems to have lasted longer than most that I have heard from others that have had this happen.

It really is quite easy to do them, just very time consuming. It takes more time to get the door panel off and on then to actually replace the regulator.

Well I never knew it was such an issue until about 5:23 when my passenger door failed. I started looking for a replacement when I got home and found thousands upon thousands of these failing. WTF FORD?

I'm going to order one in the morning. Is there any suggestion as to a brand? My local Napa has balkamp. I think it there brand. Any help would be great!

I could have saved you alot of money!! Shop Advance Auto, use the best code from retailmenot.com, checkout using "Pick up in Store" option, and save ALOT of money

would have saved you $40. Remember this next time you shop. Dorman products are great too!

I'm beginning to think its a wiring issue in our trucks. The passenger window switch on my '05 rarely gets used by people, but never seems to roll-up. I have to use my switch for it. Goes down but not up. After I clean the contact points it works, doesn't get used for a while, and stops working. I got new contact points for it, but it just started having the same issues this weekend.

Alright keep me updated, I'd be interested in knowing if there's a permanent fix for it.
